Hello, dear reader!

This is a long overdue devlog but one that had to be made only now. But I am nevertheless pleased to announce that Keyframes VN finally has its first workable demo out! Wooo!

The end of the jam came upon the team with some rough news and unforeseen circumstances so the other events we were able to write and make assets for (200k+ words in content, sigh) had to be pushed to the backburner so that we would at least have time to script the first event, namely where you, the player, meets the entire cast! Although even with that last minute foresight, we ended up rushing. And so with 20 seconds left to the jam, we were only able to push a very rough demo. 

It was admittedly a bit disheartening to know that we could only present 1/5th of the work our team toiled over to make over the course of two months, and additionally in the state that it was in. However, we were pleasantly surprised by some unexpected support! Some lovely players took a chance on our demo before we even made a proper announcement and played it-- bugs and all. We didn't think we'd garner any interest with the content that we released, but their enthusiasm and comments proved us wrong. 

To those players who downloaded our game, THANK YOU! Your enthusiasm towards a buggy game lifted the team's spirits and we were collectively crying reading your comments and thoughtful messages in our dms. We hope to continue meeting your expectations and create a game that you'll love in years to come. <3

Even with all of the bad luck that came our way at the end, the team is more geared than ever to bring the rest of the planned demo to fruition this month! It's a silver lining for sure that the rest of the work right now is simply scripting our content into the game. ^^, But we'll remain diligent still and work hard to ensure that our next update is as exactly as we wanted it to be. 

Keyframes is our hope to show you all a beautiful journey in college with friends you can count on and people who you could learn to love, platonically or more. Enjoy the demo!
